Raigad Royals, after losing two consecutive matches by a margin of over 60 runs, have bounced back with a dominant win over the Eagle Nashik Titans, handing them their first loss of the season.
Batting first, the Royals posted a mammoth total of 216/5 in 20 overs. Siddhesh Veer finally rose to the occasion after underperforming in the first four matches, notching up the second hundred of MPL 2025. He remained unbeaten on 104 runs off 62 balls. Mogaveera (22 runs) and Khatape (30 runs) provided much-needed from the other end. In the death overs, Ajay Borude's cameo of 27 runs off 10 balls proved to be the game-changing.
The Royals then got the better of the Titans early in the innings, dismissing both their openers inside the first six overs. However, they found themselves in trouble thereafter as the Titans were above par with the DLS score, but a timely wicket from Vicky Ostwal changed the outcome of the match in the Royals' favor.
Siddhesh Veer, with 140 runs in four matches at a striking rate of 153.81, is the leading run-scorer for the Royals. With the ball, Tanay Sanghavi is the top wicket-taker, with six wickets at an economy of 9.50.

Puneri Bappa will be relieved that their match ended in a no result, or else they could have ended up on the losing side. They only managed to score 127/4 in 16 overs, which was below par on a good batting track.
The Bappa were put in to bat by the Tuskers and had a reasonably good start, with their openers adding 41 runs for the first wicket. But the key partnership came from Murtaza Trunkwala, who remained unbeaten on 73 runs from 55 balls, smashing four fours and five sixes. Rushikesh Sonawane also added 28 runs in quick time.
The Bappa are in a pretty comfortable position in the points table, but to stay in the top two, they need to win three of their next six matches. The Bappa's strength this season has been their batting, where Yash Nahar and Sonawane have done the bulk of the scoring, with Suraj Shinde providing impetus in the middle overs.
Nikit Dhumal, with nine wickets, is the leading wicket-taker for the Bappa. However, other bowlers have been a tad on the expensive side and haven't stepped up when needed.

The weather at MCA Stadium, Pune on Friday, 13th June is expected to be around 26°C and it is going to a partly cloudy day with chances of rain during the match hours. The wind will be blowing at 10 km/hr and 85% humidity is expected.
The pitch at MCA Stadium in Pune has favored the batters, with most matches being high-scoring, especially the evening ones. However, morning matches have seen moderate scores, where conditions favor bowlers early in the innings and improve for batting as the match progresses. Only once in this tournament has a score over 170 been achieved batting first in a morning match.
Teams bowling first won 7 of the 11 completed matches played in the MCA Stadium in the Maharashtra Premier League 2025. It has been a good chasing ground where teams have more often than not opted to bowl first. With this being an early morning game the conditions upfront will favour the seamers and bowling first is an ideal option.
The Raigad Royals enter this contest as underdogs, but they've shown some real fight in their recent outings. In their last match, both their batting and bowling units fired in unison. The Bappa's batting lineup, despite being in decent touch, has been a bit sluggish, and their bowling attack isn't looking particularly threatening. We're backing the Raigad Royals to carry their momentum from their last dominant performance and clinch this fixture.
